EMAN started by running activities to promote cultural diversity and skills development at a number of festivals around Essex, including the Essex Jiangsu Festival, Essex One World Festival, Essex Cultural Olympiad, and Chelmsford Housing Partnership Family Fun Days. We also regularly appear at the Chelmsford Fling Festival each July and celebrations for Black History Month in October, plus many other cultural diversity events all over Essex.
Come and visit us at the EMAN stall, where you can find:
Select from a range of handmade products and ethnic handicrafts, skillfully made by our volunteers. These include scented hanging decorations and bouquets garnis, jewellery with semi-precious stones, cards for every occasion and ethnic accessories.
Why not pamper yourself with beauty treatments from the East made with ingredients from a typical South Asian kitchen (rasolil) - massage oil with rosemary and black onion seed, conditioning hair oil, henna preparations.
A chance to admire breathtaking embroidery and beautiful clothes from South Asia, as well as the opportunity to dress up "ethnic style" and be photographed for memories!

Marvel at this highly skilled and intricate art inherited by the girls in our group.
"Thank you so much for taking part in our youth centre launch. The activities you did were AMAZING!! All of our young people loved it and so did our staff."
